AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY BULLETINS
Agro meteorological Advisory Unit was established in 1987 to extend meteorological services to the farming community in the state.
Agro meteorological Advisory Unit is regularly issuing Bi-weekly Agro-met Advisory Bulletins on every Tuesday and Friday in co-ordination with the State Agricultural University and State Agricultural Dept., Govt. of Rajasthan for the benefit of the farming community in the state.
This unit issues Bi-weekly District wise forecast valid for next five days for the 9 Agro-Climatic Zones covering all the 33 districts in the state in co-ordination with Agricultural Institute in the state. This Unit also issues Bi-weekly ( Bi-Lingual ) Agro-meteorological and Agriculture Bulletins on Tuesday and Friday in collaboration with the State Agriculture Department. Bulletin reflects the Significant past Weather phenomena prevailed and the forecast. The department of Agriculture, Rajasthan provides the inputs regarding Crop condition along with the Pests & Diseases and remedies to be followed to prevent them.
These bulletins are transmitted to media viz. AIR, Door-darshan for broadcast in local language for use of farmers and other user agencies.
